This Tapestry of Light is made with 8 shades of red and a royal blue.  It took a little over 53 hours to make using satin and other fabrics for the center and a hand-woven indigo African Mud Cloth for the border.  Primal was inspired by a desire to empower the root chakra, which is the energy enter at the base of the spine.  This is the seat of our physical survival.  It has a raw, passionate, dynamic presence.  It was very exciting to make and the result is tremendously invigorating.
