This Tapestry of Light is made of undyed, hand woven African Mud Cloth for the border and backing. This piece is beautiful because of its subtlety. The flow of texture from rough to satin with the play of light across it open up a special kind of peace. It invites a calm and open awareness. Part of the wonder I experience when standing in front of these pieces is internal. A kind of grace makes itself known inside me when I stand before them. Each one is a little different.
